That dog has been with me for so long, Has shared all my best memories with me and always been there for me when i needed him most. Some people will think i'm pathetic for loving my dog more. Don't get me wrong, i love my boyfriend so much but why can't he just except that i'm always going to care for my dog more than him, no matter how slight. It all started when i couldn't go out with him for a night out because my dog had come down with an illness and i needed to take him to the vet. Now all i get from my boy is "wanna go out tonight? oh no! probably wanna play with your puppy right?" i mean how pathetic is that? What can i do to get him to relaise things just aren't gunna change? Would you love you boyfriend more than your own family? I just don't know what to do. Reply to this Question Share |

No one likes being second best. My girlfriend would dump me if I ever told her I love my dog more than her even though I've had my dog way longer than her. I totally agree that the vet thing was a must and your boyfriend should understand that.
But telling someone you love them second best isn't a good way to go in a relationship. That might be what's making your boyfriend act the way he does

He has come into your life because you chose each other Woth your dog its different Your dog didnt ask to come into your life You dicided you want them and in doing so took on all the responsibility that comes with it Try explaining this to your byfriend
Also, maybe try telling him to grow up
