A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm 17 years old and i've only ever been out with guys but i've completely fallen for my best friend whos also a girl

she's always getting with guys butshe's also really touchy feely with me. For example she always holds my hand, cuddles and kisses me and when we got out clubbing or drinking she'll start dancing with me really flirtacioulsy, put her arms round me and kiss my neck i'm really not sure if that's normal friend behaviour. None of my other friends are like that and people always think were a couple.

im pretty sure i have no chance at all and i've got no idea what to do about it, it's messing with my head

A female reader, anonymous, writes (8 April 2010):

im in the same boat, 17 and never had a boyfriend but shes my first real best friend and she always holds onto my arm when we walk, kisses me on the cheek alot of people thought we were a couple in school. one night in january we got a little tipsy at a sleep over and made out all night... it fucked with my head because she said it was "for the books" and we dont talk about it anymore... we arent really friends now..

my advice, dont do anything, if she feels something shed come to you and talk to you, i think you just have feelings for her because shes the first one youve been this close with

A reader, anonymous, writes (3 April 2010):

Why don't you ask her honestly if she would ever imagine herself bisexual. Just put it out there, don't imply that you are until she answers--or if she answers yes. If she says no, keep the friendship still.

She sounds like she may feel the same way--or some girls aren't really sure what they are at that age and are still experimenting and trying to figure it out. Also, girls like to goof around joke a lot. But, this sound different.

Good luck!
