reader, anonymous, writes (22 June 2007): well here is the thing i have the same problem u do i like my 3rd cousin to see when we were little we liked each other alot but our family noticed and told us to stop well we havn't seen each other for a long time then resently we meet again and we really hit it off i really like him and he really likes me so i guess what i'm trying to say is i personally thing its ok because there is nothing wrong with liking ur 3rd cousin and i think u should go for it as long as ur both ok with it.

Its up to you and the guy at the end of the day. Here in the UK by law you can marry your cousin but a lot of people feel its a little close to home.
I personally wouldn't date a cousin, but then I've never fallen for any of them. Maybe sit down and talk it through with mum or sister or dad and see what they feel about it. Explain you really like him and that he likes you to.

It is a pity for you, but in fact there are rules how to date.
Normally you feel like there are none if you accept the rules.
But now YOU decide what to do and whether it's wrong yourself.
