Hey aunts and uncles I'm asking this for my mum,(aged 57) she wants to know why she is getting 'hot suddenly' she's had her menopause 7 years ago ...the heat comes up suddenly and lasts for about an hour, makes her sweat and only slighty cools when she outs wet wipes on her ears and neck

She suffers with

chronic kidney disease (stage 4)

chronic heart disease (stage 2)

Copd (emphysema) which is severe ... Doc said she could go any day.. Year at the most

I don't think this has anything to do with her conditions but thought I would let you know so you might have an explaination x

Ravenxx91 agony auntThanks very much Ask oldersister - mum said that the advice you gave is very helpful and thanks, you gave a very excellent answer. Yes Emphysema medication is mainly steriod based to strengthen the lungs. That could be part of it, were not worried but your suggestions are excellent! I gave you 5 stars!

Ravenxx91 agony auntHey, thanks for the advice, but there is no need to say she doesnt ask the doc or takes the perscription and leave?! What kind of advice is that, in actual fact she tries to sit and talk to the doctor to get his help, but as a very busy doctor he rushes her and writes the perscription and pretty much ushers her out. No need for that at all, were asking for what people, who know about health what they think it is, curious wise, not what they think she should do. Im am assistant practitioner myself - know what that is? Well i work alongside a doctor and ive never come across that myself, so were asking on a curious basis!

Well if the spray isn't working then she needs to go back and see the doc again.

She can ask him what he thinks it is rather than just taking the prescription and leaving.

It still sounds like an infection.

Tell her to drink some orange juice for the vit C boost and go and see the GP again.

Good Luck!! xx

She could be fighting off one of the many winter infections out there. That would cause a spike in temperature.

But the advice is the same as for any problem.

Get her to see a doctor. I'm just a random off the internet.

Good Luck!! xx
