To our anonymous poster: a teenagers mood swings and mood swings of an adult are very different all boys go through this stage, and 99% grow out of it.
I'm very sorry to her about your husband but I don't think our OP here is quite at that stage. If you are still having behavioural issues in your late teens (17-19) and early 20s then you should look for professional help, but to suggest a 15 year old is as bad as a 37 year old with mood swings isn't the same at all.

Yes it is totally normal, I was a total brat at your age, I would be happy one moment then sad and angry the next, once I even punched a hole in a brick wall.
Give it time it will pass and make sure when your mood is "normal" tell your parents you love them and you are sorry, because most of the time it is them that have to put up with you. This is all hormonal, and will pass with age.
In the mean time take up a sport that you can channel your energy into, boxing, running, going to the gym, can all help you balance out those hormones and release endorphins (the brains natural anti-depressants).
It will all be ok, so don't sweat it too much.
