hi all.. this may be just a silly thing to ask but i am very cautious on my health.

i never tend to get headaches, it was rare for me, like, i dunno, once every 3 months. it might not sound very rare but my days and weeks last long, lol.

at around september, i started getting headaches, they were very strong, which i found kind of normal. but, what i didnt find normal was that my ears throbbed as well.. i lasted around a month and a half with this headache, it never went, and it was always the same place; behind my ears on the top part of the neck.

during that time i kept asking mum to see a doctor about it, and she kept giving me false hope that she would book an appointment, but in the end she never did because she believed it was because i dont sleep or eat alot, and because i always listen to music. i doubted this though, because all my life i never slept or ate alot and i've always listened to music, so why would it start hurting now?

after that though, i remembered one science lesson when my science teacher mentioned that listening to music or your phone alot will then cause brain damage, tumours and whatnot...

from then on i became very paranoid, but the headaches stopped altogether, and i was grateful.

but now i am typing here because yet again, i have started getting them yesterday, and i dont wanna have to suffer another great period of time sulking in the corner trying to block it out.

on top of that, this one is worse, my ears are throbbing like hell, it pounds pain and i lose balance when i stand up. from time to time i get whole body shivers and trust me they dont fell good, it hurts my bones. i am forced to close my eyes tightly to avoid light, i am already having a troublesome time looking at the screen to write this up.

so what i am asking is that is this normal is there anything i can do to avoid it or do i have something in my head? i am still only young, i dont do drugs, smoke or alcohol; nor diabetes, i dont understand.. please someone help me :(

i cant cope...

I know the answer to this question.

First of all, you shouldn't listen to music with headphones, it really is bad for you. I hate that I have to tell you that, because I love to listen to music and I know how much you probably do, but headphones are proven to make peoples ears in pain for a number of reasons.

^ NOT THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION

This is the answer... You need to see a chiropractor. Go out and get a good posturepedic pillow. The kind that look like a kidney bean are the best. When you sleep, sleep with your back straight like you would when you sit with good posture. I know for a fact that the pain you are having is because you need an adjustment. If you have already seen a chiropractor it's possible that you were adjusted wrong.

I am certain this will help solve your headache issue.

headaches can have lots and lots of reasons but i believe they should not be ignored. you are old enough to arrange an appointment with the doctor yourself so make sure you do this, hopefully he can reassure you that your headache has a harmless cause. your mother should not be dismissing this, assuming she is not a doctor herself?
