Question - (26 July 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 26 July 2011)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I met this guy at my internship. Recently, I notice that whenever we talk, we would always smile at each other; he would maintain eye contacts when we talk. Last week, he took a whole week off, I guess due to vacation. So, I was excited to see him at work today. At fist, I made a few comments about the weather bc it was raining outside, and how it was depressing. He agreed and half smiled at me. However, I noticed that he wasn’t as talkative today. I asked him about the concert he told me that he was excited to go to, and he said: “Good…then SILENT.” I was shocked bc that’s so unlike him to say one word answer. And then he went on said it was one of the best concerts that he went to. But it was a little too late..I felt strange..and when I asked him a few more questions, I noticed he didn’t look at me when he answered my questions. He was looking at the Excel Spreadsheet instead. I dont't get it, he usually pays full attention to me, turn around and listen to what I have to say, but not this time. And then when it was 5 o’clock, he said “ cya” (as usual) and then mumbled quietly “have a good one” (he doesn’t usually say that). So, I’m quite confused by this. I guess maybe he sensed that I like him and now he’s backing off.

k_c100 agony auntSounds like he is backing off I'm afraid. There could be a million reasons why so there is not much point in guessing - I think you simply just have to accept that isnt interested and move on.

Men are weird sometimes (so are girls though!) and you will find on many occasions where a guy will seem interested for a while and then quite quickly can go off you and not be interested in you any more. All you can do is accept it and get on with your life - you havent done anything wrong, and there isnt much you can do to change the situation, so let it go and move on, there are plenty more guys out there!

I hope this helps and good luck!
