It was my first time ever asking a boy out and telling my feelings. I am 17 years old and I am a girl.Taz texted back and told me that he just got over a girlfriend and didn't want another one at that moment. But then he went on about the texts. He said to me that he doesn't see me that way, we're not even that close, he doesn't want to be friends with me but more of acquaintances and just other stuff. He was a complete jerk to me. All I did was say my feelings to him but not only did he reject me, he said he didn't want to be my friend! I did text him back after that and told him how much it hurt me, but that was the last time I talked to him so it has been about two months.I have known Taz since elementary school but we were never really good friends. Until my junior year, I started to really like him. I had 3 classes with him and we joked around and talked a lot. I always thought of him as a friend and I thought he did too. I mean, the way he talked and laughed with me it sounded like friendship. He even gave signs before that he likes me more than a friend.However, I have caught him staring at me a couple of times. And it isn't bad looks he is giving me, but more of like...tender looks. And he will just stare at me for a minute it feels like. I don't know if this is my imagination or not, but I just know he is looking at me.So my question is, do you think Taz might actually like me? Does he feel guilty for what he said? Should I talk to him? I do miss him but...I am so confused.Thank you,Meagan

Meagan, guys at his age are very confused. He doesn't know what he wants in the slightest. You opened up and he didn't want to be with you, then said he didn't even want to be friends, then was a bit of a jerk, then started to stare at you. I think you'd be better to let him go. He's confused and could wind up hurting you. Socliaze, meet other guys. Taz hasn't got a clue what he wants. Besides, if he likes you, after treating you the way he did, he really should come to you!
