Hi,
A rule of thumb with medicine is to always get a second, or even third opinion. I think that you should make a list of questions and talk to two or three doctors about this. Have a talk about the pros and cons of surgery, and invest much thought and research in this.
There are things you can do to lower your risk of cancer... this is an important question that you should definitely discuss with your doctor(s). However, I can tell you that eating antioxidant (cancer fighter)-rich foods, getting plenty of exercise, proper sleep, and not smoking is always a good thing.

i honestly would say yes have it removed...if you dont mind me asking how old are you, do you have any children? even if no if you already have that much scarring then i would go ahead and have the surgery.....
