Romantic love is the passion and constant desire to be with the person. Its a feeling you have when you are able to look at the world around you and realize that the two of you are each others balance.
Other love like that between friends which doesn't happen very often is when you would put your life on the line for them. The willingness to stick your neck out for them when they truely need it even if it may bring harm to you.
Love has the power to overide your basic instinct for survival and let you choose someone elses life over your own.

this is the prfect question for me. heres what i know :I think in all honesty, that everyone's idea of what love is, is completly different, yet all the same. I once heard that love, is friendship on fire. And that statement couldnt be more true. I think that love is hopeless. It's nothing, yet it's everything. It's not a big thing, but a million little things. That no matter where you go or what you do, you'll love that person. It doesn't matter what stupid things they've done in their past, nor does it matter who they've dated, or who their friends are. It doesn't matter what people think because you and them are happy being together. No obstacle could possibly stand in your way. It's when you're willing to wait forever in order to be with them, if thats what it's going to take. It's counting the days until you can be with them again. It's falling asleep dreaming about them. Those late night conversations that keep you smiling. Those long days together that you feel like a real family. It's the teasing, and the play fights, and the feeling protected, safe and secure. It's wanting to grow old with them, and dreaming of a future where you're sitting on a porch swing. It's the feeling that when you kiss them, sparks fly. When you touch them or look into their eyes you feel like fate brought you together. Like nothing can tear you apart.

For me love is the intense desire to be with a person, touch them, smell them when you touch someone you love there skin feels like silk. you get excited to see them and to speak to them. The man i love is the god of my universe if he is shaken so is my world. A connection i can't put into words i with him i don't need to. Love is a shared emotion, you cannot be in love unless it is returned. x
