There is this guy working at Starbucks who is 18 or 19 years old that I have known for five years and really like. I am interested in starting a relationship with him, so I sent him a letter. Is that a good way to get started with this?

Ms. Tanya agony auntWell, anonymous love notes signed "Your secret admirer" are always cute, but just a cut to the chase love letter works as well, that was a good idea. Stuttering over "I like you" face to face then blushing and nearly being sick cause your so nearvous is really embarassing, so now he has time to think to get over the omg she actually likes me shock, and he has time to think of something cute to say to you. So I guess the short answer to your Q would be Yes, Good idea,

G'luck Hon! I hope he appriciates your totally romantic sweetness. :)

stina agony auntHi Catlova,

Ohhh, that's so sweet!! i'm sure if anything he'll be flattered, even if he does think it's a bit cheesy as b3x says. if you've known him for 5 years, then he probably won't make fun of you for sending a letter, if that's what you're thinking. maybe most of this is because you're nervous about actually telling him how you feel. if you guys do end up getting together, wouldn't it be so cute to look back and see what started your relationship? :)

and if by chance you do get a response that you really did not want, then it's okay. it's not the end of the world. it might hurt for a bit, but it will pass and you will find someone who really appreciates your romantic and sweet side.

good luck! :)

b3x agony auntWhat did the letter say honey? xx

I always find that if you some a lil 'cheesy' sometimes it can put them off, best way is to tell them straight I think, honesty is the best policy!

Plus you don't want him showing other people this letter do you?! xx
