reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2012): When I met my boyfriend I knew he did things that weren't legal. I told him that if he ever ended up behind bars, I wouldn't want anything more to do with him. He stopped doing those things.
If you feel this strongly about it maybe it's time you gave him a choice, you or his choice of career.

I agree that illegal activity has its risks but unless he chooses to change career, you both will always have this struggle.
Try speaking to him about your fears. See if he wishes to make better choices/ changes.
Because you cant accept his way of living and his lifestyle it will eventually lead to disagreements and unhappiness because you both have a conflict of standards.
