Lost, don't want to hurt anyone including myself!

Okay. Ive been in a relationship for almost 4 years. We live together and rent the back house of her gramas house. We fight, not all the time but a lot of the time. Im not jealous and shes not either but i just feel like i need to move on. but im scared that if i leave her im making a mistake. ive tried to break up with her before but she wants an explanation of why... and i cant give it to her because im scared to hurt her... when we first met the relationship moved really fast. I dont know what to do but i dont want to keep on leading her on in this HELP please.
