We are not dating yet but this is the first time I have truly felt guilty about lying, I have had many sleepless nights recently and my life has finally be consumed by this lie. I am afraid that this lie will make him question whether or not he will want to date me or even meet me for that matter. Any advice on how I can tell him the truth?

hi there, sorry to hear the situation you are in, but to answer your question.. i myself always believe in honesty and i truly believe you should tell him as soon as possible. eventually he would find out about this lie that you have been telling him so i think it would be better for you to tell him and just be sincere about it. hopefully if he truly cares about you he will understand your reasoning behind doing what you did. it would be a different story if say you were telling him you were 23 when actually you were say 33. In your case its only a three year difference. however like i said i believe in complete honesty so do prepare yourself, because there is that possibility that he will look at you different for lying to him from the start.. hope this helps!

Only one true way this can be resolved, you have to tell him and tell him exactly what your you have told us i.e. your reasons. You are only talking 3 years, not 10+. Hopefully he will be understanding, and please from this point on be truthful about your age it will end your sleepness nights
Best wishes
