A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So I have been going out with this guy for a month now. He lives on the other side of the country, and he is 2 years younger than me Lets call him D (also i have never meet him in person). Then theres M is a year older than me but same grade and he lives like 10 mins away from where i live. Soo D had to leave for a week and a half and once he got back he has been acting different and i think my feelings for M are coming back. D knows that I liked M before I meet him. Now i talked to M and he still likes me. I Don't want to break D heart thought but i am falling in love with M. Also D has said many times that if i wasn't with him he would have been dead by now, and that i am keeping him alive. I don't know what to do.SO i don't know what to do dump him and go for who i liked before or stay with D who lives far away?

Also all my friends that i have asked have said that it would be easier having a boyfriend that lives near you.

So I ended up breaking up with him (like 5 mins ago). It was really hard but its done. Thanks soooo much for the advice. I came on this site looking for a second opinion on it from what my friends said. Thanks!

So_Very_Confused agony auntI am 51. I drive. I can come and go as I please. I am in an LDR where my boyfriend is 2 hours away by car.

It's killing me. IF you can make a choice and you have a choice I vote for someone local.

dirtball agony auntGotta love blackmailing you with his life. I had a GF who used to do that to me. She'd put a knife to her wrist when she thought I was thinking of breaking up with her.

I say dump LDR guy. Not only are LDR's doomed most of the time anyway, but he doesn't really sound like a good guy either.

It is always dating someone who lives near you. Always.
