My bf for example is the kind of guy that radiates charisma, people are drawn to him and he treats them kindly and respectfully. He isn't afraid to tell his mates that he loves them (he's comfortable IN his own masculinity)he isn't afraid to tell me how much I mean to him (and he's not a sap.) He will discuss his feelings. Sometimes he'll even leak a few tears during a movie. He doesn't start fist fights, but he sure as hell finishes them. I trust him to look after me emotionally and physically and I know without a doubt that he is my protector. He takes responsibility for his actions and walks his talk.Masculinity is about being Confident, Expressive, Gentle, Responsible, Honest and Considerate towards others. Being macho and keeping your problems locked up inside isn't masculinity as society dictates, it's just being a wimp.Hope that's a good answer :)

I believe that protection (physical, emotional and financial) should go both ways, and I expect it to in all of my relationships. And it does. However, I always enjoy a masculine--semi-beefcake--body!! ;-)

To me it means a man that can protect me. That can be with his strength if i here a noise in the house or with his words when someone is mean to me or if I have a bad.
