In cases like this, the agressor displays subtle signs prior to acting. He may seem withdrawn, short spoken (meaning one or two words to answer a question which he or she would generally use more words), further depressed, or dazed. When you know someone, you'll also be able to see changes that gradually settle in. This is a sad story. The mother, Carie needs prayer to help her overcome this tragedy. I added this also because it happened in the state where I live and raise my kids. I hugged my daughter and gave her an extra kiss good night. For those who are in violent situations, get out of there. I'd much rather be single, happy, and safe, than trapped, praying for happiness, and wondering when the next time will be. -----------------------------------------------------------------The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says deputies shot and killed a 37-year old Scott Allen Montgomery after finding the man's two kids dead in a home in Crystal Park. The children were 5-year-old Skyler and 21-month-old Canyon. The autopsies on the two boys were completed Monday. The El Paso County Coroner was unable to determine how they died and is now looking to the toxicology tests for more clues. They should be back in a few days. Their father's autopsy was completed Tuesday. Deputies were called to the house, on Waterfall Loop, on a welfare check around 3:45 p.m. Sunday. The children's mother called the sheriff's office worried her husband may harm their children. When deputies arrived around 4:45 p.m., they looked through the window and saw the children, 21-month-old Canyon Montgomery and five-year-old Skyler Montgomery, seriously injured inside. They forced their way into the home and found the children unconscious and not breathing. The father, armed with a knife, then reportedly confronted the deputies. The deputies responded, shooting the man. He died inside the home. The sheriff's office has not yet released how many times the man was shot.Autopsy results show there was no obvious trauma to either of the children. The El Paso County Coroner's Office has to wait for toxicology reports to determine how they died.An autopsy is expected to be performed on Scott Montgomery on Tuesday. The two deputies involved in the shooting are now on routine administrative leave while the District Attorney's Office investigates the shooting.

Domestic violence is indeed a tragic outcome, often unexpected.
no matter what the problems a person is experiencing or feeling it hard to fathom how anyone can justify doing this to innocent children.
People who use domestic violence to intimidate a partner often destroy things as a threat to their partner. or they target a loved pet.
but the ultimate revenge is this, taking the lives of innocent children.
It is sobering lesson, with July approaching, to realise that Skyler Montgomery would now be 9 years old and little Canyon Montgomery would now be a delightful almost 6 year old if their father had not done this.
No relationship and no partner is worth this pain. If you are suffering in a relationship with Domestic violence then get out now. No one deserves this lifetime legacy of hurt.
Hope no one minds me answering such an old question, but I just noticed it while reading some of rcn's great posts.
And I thought that Canyon and Skyler deserved to be remebered at this time.
