I was just wondering if I should text him between now and then? Obviously will text him the night before the date just to make sure everything is ok, but what about from now until then? I don't want to come across as too clingy or needy, but don't want to completeply ignore him.

 There is no harm done. You won't appear clingy. Don't weld up your feelings. Let it flow or you will feel very uncomfortable inside .
