I agre with both Leanne and Jamer. Smile at him and be friends, but don't confuse this with anything more than friendahip. He probably claps because you are better at the guitar!

i have to agree with leanne here. This guy is 14-16 way to old for a girl your age, sexually and emotionally. Your growing up and you will tons of crushs and these feelings ach one feels more significant than the next, but they usually are crushes. I think you have to keep this to your self as if anything happens he will end up in alot of trouble and maybe jail.

if i'm brutally honest, he won't receipricate the feelings because you are alot younger than he is and 16/17 year old guys have hormones raging and are out to have sex etc and unfortunatley you are far too young for any of that right now.
you're beginning to get curious about the opposite and you'll have crushes on loads of guys but wait until your older before you act on any of it because you have your whole life to experience dating and the stresses of relationships!
take care
