I've always been the type that likes to set big goals and work for them. Lately I've thinking about my life and I don't really know what I want anymore. It's scaring me. I'm upset and I can't imagine what would make me unupset. Seriously, if a genie said I could have anything, I still wouldn't be happy!

I'm just really confused trying to find something I should work hard for.

A reader, anonymous, writes (10 November 2008):

You're so young...it's normal to question your future and what you want! At your age all I wanted was to be a wife and mother; Five years later...all I wanted was to be free! As you get older you will see things falling into place. You are at an age where you can explore different avenues. Discover your likes and dislikes! Look at your life as an adventure. Try whatever suits you and go from there. Don't worry that you don't have your whole life planned out. Life doesn't come with intructions or a road map...Just jump in and explore!

Hi

You are the GEENIE! if only you knew it!

First be TRUE TO YOURSELF with goals...what is your goal? often when we only see a goal we miss the fun of the actual journey.....enjoy the moment do what YOU want to do...not what others think you should do or society's goals. The fact that you are unhappy now says that you are not really been true to yourself.

Work hard to save enough cash to go Travelling.

See some of the world. Find people who you admire and find out what kind of jobs make you think "I want to do that."

You are really young so this is nothing to panic about.

Expand your horizons a bit.

Good Luck!! xx
