Just don't ask her out of the blue as she may be shy too and be suprised by your question and not know how to answer.You've had a girlfriend before so I'm sure you'll do fine. Don't stress about not having kissed anyone before. The first time is nerveraking, but it's nothing to be scared of. It's natural and you'll know what to do when the time comes.

 On the kissing issue, don't worry about it too much, just do what's natural -- your DNA will figure out the rest.
As far as if you should ask her out, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't. If it's easer for you to do it over MSN, then go for it there.
