writes:I have had several boyfriends and I have kissed and messed around with girls. But I want a relationship with a girl, I want a new experience and a different kind of love. The problem is that I live in a small town and I haven't met any lesbians or bi sexual girls in my area. How do I meet someone who wants a gay relationship? I have tried online but I'm not very comfortable with talking to someone I don't know. I would like to go out in a gay bar or club but I'm not sure how it would work, like how to attract a girl. I'm also wary of going into one because the last time I did the guy on the door said I looked too straight to go in! In fairness I do look like a straight girl, but I am serious about wanting a girlfriend, without changing the way I look to look like a sterotypical lesbian just to advertise that I am looking for a girl. But how do I find a girl at a bar?? Any suggestions?

reader, anonymous, writes (2 February 2011): Same way you do a guy... find a cute single girl and go up and say hi! You can offer to protect her from guys hitting on the single hot chick, and see what she says. You may find a gal that's hot for you and ready to head someplace more intimate, or not... it takes time!
