writes: i find out that i have [hpv] genital warts.and ive had the same boyfriend for 10 months. and were both faithful no other partners.well i took him to the doctor the next day after my appt.and they thought he had one so the removed it. but there not 100% sure he has it too. we've slept together unprotected for 10 months. do you think he has it too?

reader, anonymous, writes (25 July 2008): this happened to me, i had them and he didn't, but turns out he carries the virus, so while you and i actually have the warts on us, the boys just carry the virus, and it can lie dormant in the body for as long as 10 years before showing, so he must have picked up the virus from a previous partner, or yourself

reader, anonymous, writes (25 July 2008): i have had the same thing for 7 years now and you'll know when your having a flair up you more than likely wont be able to have sex as its too painful so you might be lucky that he hasnt got it, maybe you got it from him in the first place but ive been with lots of people since and no one has it, not even my ex fiancee of 3 years
