I have known him for over two years now but I had never talked to him before... to me he was just another one of the boys on my brothers team. At the beginning of our new semester in school we got place next to each other in band. Immediately I had a heart-melting crush on this guy, he was able to make me laugh and blush by saying one simple word in that hilarious cartoon voice of his. As the first half of the semester was moving by quickly we found ourselves being linked together in more than one school activity. Often we found ourselves laughing with each other over something quite trivial and to me it felt so right. Just about two weeks ago I had mustered the courage to ask him out. I was planning on asking him at the party we both happened to be going to that night. To my great happiness he came bouncing up to me that morning, but to my dismay he had informed me that the girl he REALLY REALLY liked had said yes to being his girlfriend. I was totally CRUSHED. At the break we had in-between our activity I ran to my Best friends and bawled my eyes out. Since then I have seen him every other day every week. He is such a good friends so even though I had wanted to shut him out completely I had to suffer through. I AM IN LOVE with him, and I don't know what to do about it. Please any suggestions will help I am DESPERATE .Thanks for listening to me whine... figuratively listening anyway, all help is much appreciated. With love, dannigirl128 3

I totally understand how you feel since I was in that position about a month ago. There are two choices you can choose in my opinion.
1. Forget him and go for another guy. This will hurt a lot in short term since you love him and he sounds like was going to give you a chance too.
2. Continue to be his good friend and wait until they break up. This is extremely painful and I personally went through this process. In my situation, it lasts for three months and those three months were nightmares.
Anyway I hope my advise can help you.
