Basically what I'm asking is: is it enough or too much?

jonoc5 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionust to clarify i have no interest in seeing if she feels the same way at all, that would unfair. i just want to feel like i said something rather than just leaving that part of my life open.
also i cant give her a note as i've already finished my lessons with her.

I think that's a nice note, its not too much. I'm glad you didnt write about your infactuation; that would have been too much.
I think it would be nice to write it in a thank-you card and give it to her at the end of the year.
