writes:hi, there is this girl from one of my classes at school. shes perfect, smart, pretty, artistic and has such good taste in music. i have this huge crush on her, and im wondering what i should do..? i have only started sitting at her table in class about 3 weeks ago, we often talk over facebook or msn, most nights and we talk a little in class and if i see her around school. im quite shy when i see her in person, but ive always had trouble talking to girls who im attracted to. how can i tell if she likes me back? when i see here she often says "hey dude" but not always, does this mean she only wants to be friends? or doesnt want a boyfriend? (i have no idea why she is single she is one of the most beautful girls iv'e ever seen) she ended a conversation on msn last time with an "X0" i dont know if that means anything. also when i mentioned the prom was coming up she asked me if i was going with anyone, and later on who i was gona ask. im scared to make ruin a good thing by telling her i like her, how can i do this without telling her straight up? and how can i tell if she likes me to? also any advice about what to do next would be a good thing :) cheers

first of all i think you're over thinking things way too much by considering what 'hey dude' and what she puts to you on msn etc, although words can mean alot i wouldn't take too much to heart or over think simple phrases like that!
if you're getting on great online then keep it up, make sure you really get to know eachother and show her you care i.e. offer advice if she's moody etc, then she will be able to value you as a friend.
you need to ask her if she's interested in anyone and equally question back, i.e. 'i'm not sure about the prom - are you going with anyone?' before making your move, you should let her know you're shy and unconfident especially with someone who you are extremely attracted to and she should understand that it's a big step for you!
