Question - (3 September 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 3 September 2009)
A female Hong Kong age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I met this foreign guy on Internet and we've been chatted online on and off for about 1 year.At first,he wrote me for asking a language partner and we just talked about life after that.I think we both know quite a lot about each other because romance wasn't involved and we were quite frank. He told me he once had a family but it didn't work out.

But this year,he first invited to his country(not his own country but somewhere he works in).He honestly told me he wanted a family again and wanted to know whether we could hit it up and move on to another relationship.

He admits that I'm farely young for him but I have to admit that he's that kind of guy I admire, say much older than me,challenging, manly and generous. He keeps inviting me and promises to take on all the financial problem my trip makes. Not that I literally want to get a free trip, nor I can afford the visa expense. But I'm touched.

He sends me email almost everyday. But I'm a little confused,he's been working in German,US,Switzerland and South Africa, how could he not get a decent girlfriend?I mean,he has so many chances out there and he doesn't need to pay attention to a far away normal girl like me.

Sometimes I hatemyself being so shallow. How could I like him back just because he likes me first and made the first move. And I didn't have any serious relationship before,it's like I'm so pathetic that I have to seek for an invisible lover online.

Please tell me how I should sort it out.
