Can you get pregnant through just inserting the penis in a few times? It was just a few strokes unprotected, but I am worried. Thank you in advance... Reply to this Question Share |

Well, I am not one of the advisors who believe that pregnancy is probable every time a penis nears a vagina - but I also probably played a lot of "Russian roulette" with sex during my younger years. I'm not certain whether most young women in the late teens, 20s and 30s are "on the pill" these days, but it certainly seemed to work fine in the old days. (I'm now about 60-years-old and the women I spend time with have nothing to worry about, which is really nice). It is my opinion that copulation just before or after a menstrual period is fairly unlikely to result in pregnancy, because if a woman is normal, there is no egg available to fertilize for a few days before or several days after the period. I'll agree that "anything is possible" but it is quite unlikely. This has long been called the "rhythm method" and has worked for centuries, although with NO certainty.
I'll also go on record to say I do not subscribe to the idea that every potential sex partner today likely carries HIV or some other terrible sexually transmitted disease. Again, anything is possible, but most clean, healthy, reasonable and prudent individuals in the Western World who are not balling everyone they meet without common sense are probably not going to be exposed. Just be very prudent and steer clear of intravenous drug users, sex professionals, homosexuals and slutty people. If there is any question, testing is available and not too expensive - even free in certain places and under certain circumstances. While I do not advocate stupidity, some may take me to task for suggesting that condoms are not an absolute necessity in every circumstance. Common sense, however, is highly advisable.

I think you would have to be very very unlucky to get pregnant like that but there is a small possibility.
Don't worry too much about it. But be more careful next time.
If you are really worried then you can ask her to take the morning after pill. You can take that up to 72 hours after sex.
Good Luck!! xx
