I've been in the same group of friends with this guy for the past 2 1/2 years or so. I am mainly closer to other people in the group, but lately I've been thinking that I might like him as more than a friend. We don't really have comfortable conversations; it's more like me asking 20 questions and him answering with one word, but he's like that with everyone. Sometimes we joke around and sort-of flirt. I always sit by him on the couch and lean on him while watching movies, so I think by now he should have some idea that I like him. How can I tell if he likes me and if I think he does what should I do? I wouldn't want to mess up my friendship with the rest of the group, or make myself more uncomfortable around him.

Well, maybe you should confirm your feelings that you actually really like him. Then you should try and develop your friendship a bit more and if there's something between you, it will happen naturally. try and engage in conversations so you both speak to each other and soon you will become more comfortable around each other. If you jump straight away, it may make things more awkward. Well I hope this helps and good luck!
