Thank him. EVERY time.
Read... 5 Languages of Love.
Basically, according to the author Gary Chapman, humans (usually) fall into one or more "languages" of HOW they SHOW love and how they like to receive love. They are gifts, quality time, words of affirmation, acts of service, and physical touch. (some say food is the 6th and I agree).
Your man is EXPRESSING his love and care for you, with GIFTS and acts of service.
You return the feelings with acts of service (decorating).
People can have DIFFERENT "languages" and still work well together.
What you CAN do is take the test with him (you can google that ) and take it and ask him to try it. That way you CAN show YOUR feelings in a way HE will understand.
I would tell him IF it gets too much, as long as you make him understand why. Other then that? I'd enjoy a guy like that!
