I know that the more i ring the more hurt i feel so why do i keep doing this. My ex only phones me when he wants something or he's drunk.Id really love to hear peoples experiences and advice.thanks x

You are really going to have to go cold turkey on this one.
Like people have to do when they stop smoking for instance. Like Rhythmandblues2 said, this is an habit for you! Its much the same for anyone that comes out a relationship, you were in a habit.
But you need to claw back some pride because you know it wont work & you dont want him back so i would say the reason you're finding it hard is because your pride is hurt he doesnt want back & like we said, the habit.
I personally would delete his number & be extremely strong & never ring him or txt again! Txt him once & say to him you need to do cold turkey & you dont want to hear from him again. Maybe in the future, then put the phone away, have a cry, then thats it! End of. End of an era, start of the new!
Do it! It will hurt like mad at first but if you carry on like this you just wont move on and it will be prolonging the pain.

Sometimes i just want to run away! keep ypur chin up hun...try and try to stop yourself. ring a friend instead. xxx

reader, anonymous, writes (23 August 2007): You have made him a bad habit, and you are just unwilling to move on with your life....it hurts but you have to sit on your hands, put the phone in the freezer and leave it at home if you have no will power....just stop, give yourself time to grieve and move on to other activities and family and friends to support you during this time, it will get better and you can do this....this guy does not deserve any of your attention.
