But boy are you risking a lot if you bring another guy into the relationship, even for a threesome. Women are very susceptible to developing feelings for the guys they're sleeping with, threesome or no.
I agree that outside the bedroom is a good time to have a talk about it. I won't tell you not to do it, but if you do, you need to set a hell of a lot of extremely thorough ground rules.
I would advise against making it a reality, but it's been done before. I have seen ads on Craigslist involving couples looking to make a threesome or husbands who want to watch their wives get it on with another man.
It's your call. if you and your wife agree on rules, it's in bounds, but it's still a major risk.

I am speaking from experience, and nothing good usually comes out of these threesomes. A good friend of mine decided that it would be a turn on if he watched while I had sex with his girlfriend, which ended happening one night. The chemistry between his girlfriend and I was out of this world, and that's one of the potential complications of having a threesome. reader, anonymous, writes (29 September 2011): You know, if having these little "fantasy" moments is good for you guys, then I see no harm in it being imaginary. But I think it is a whole different ball game once you actually get another person in the room with you and see the reality of it all.
I have never heard of the threesome ending up with postive results for a relationship. I would be extremely cautious.
