Is this the kiss of death for starting a romantic relationship?

Question - (2 June 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 June 2010)
A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

"I consider you my dearest and most important friend"

Is that the kiss of death for starting a romantic relationship? Right now, there's distance between us. But, she's said that she's been considering moving.

Could what she said be "temporary" (for lack of a better word/phrasing) because of the distance? Or is it a done deal?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (2 June 2010):

Patience my friend. That's all I can really say. If she already sees you as one of her best friends then you could lose that if you make a move now. Its agony not being able to date the one you love but if you hang in there, try poetry, chocolates etc then she may be the one who sees you as a potential lover. Keep getting to know her but guide her down a slightly different route if you get what I'm saying. Good luck. :)
