Is this situation with an old school friend too good to be true?

A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have a boyfriend in the Army and I haven't seen him for over 7 years. I've known him for 12 years and we went to school together growing up. I haven't seen him since I was in 5th grade. We started talking on the phone 2 months before he left for basic training and we decided that we want to be together when he graduates. Im seeing him for the 1st time in April on his graduation day. I'm staying committed so we can be together and I wouldn't have to end any relationships. When I was little i likes him a lot and we would hold hands and hug. I never imagined myself being with him now. He tells me that he's been thinking about me before we even started talking 2 months ago!!! We write eachother letters, thats the only communication that we have until Graduation Day. Is this too good to be true??

Thanks so much, I do hope this works out. I heard from him today (Feb. 7th) but I was sleeping, he called at 4 in the morning. He left me a voicemail saying that his letter to me is in the mail. I'll get his address soon so I can send out all the letters I've been writing him.
