If you two are 'over' it won't be romantic, it might just be embarrassing. Are you really over her and just still care enough to travel such a distance. What if she has met someone else. I would just send a lovely card and message and leave it at that. You could end up out of pocket and wasting your time otherwise.

When someone says, I love you but.... when they are breaking up with you, they are trying to be gentle with you. If I was you I would find someone you don't have travel 3000 to see.
