There is nothing inherently wrong in this. However,
You need to think about your alcohol intake, along with this guy. You and he are way too young to be having blackouts from alcohol, unless you have a serious problem.
What it entails is that at some point one of you will use this as an excuse to do something stupid, because nbeing drunk is no excuse for anything.
Lay off the booze!

If you don't feel used then everything should be fine. I don't think your relationship is doomed, as long as you talk it over! Hope this helps!
