i think that this probably is your period, the same thing happened to me when i started a couple of years ago i was the same age as you are now and i was worried but then i told my mum and it was fine maybe you should wait until next month and if you come on youll know its your period if you dont it may not have been or maybe just a starter for when you do really start. good luck,

Hiya.
I reckon this probably is your period, but dont worry, as its completly normal at your age. I started mine at 12, and i too was scared and confused. I didnt actually tell my mum, i just left some "period pants" lying around and she found them, so i didnt actually have to tell her myself. If you have a close girlfriend or a stepmum or auntie that you dont mind telling, then tell them...but i think your mother may get a little hurt by this.
Its your choice.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 January 2007): Its very likely to be your period, girls start their period roughly around 11~13. I'd suggest you tell ur mom about the problem, if it is a period, she can greatly help you with pads ... etc...
I'd also say if it was "blood poo" that's because you have not been drinking enough water but either way its good to let your parents know because that's what their for
