writes:I got my period today, well at least i think it's my period. It's not your normal, red flowy kinda thing. but like when i went to take the bathroom, i looked at the toilet paper, and it was reddish pink. so i was like oo i have my period, and i put a pad on. when i went to the washroom a few hours later, there was nothing on the pad, but on the tissue, it was like brown and it had like gooey stuff, kinda chunky almost, but no liquid whatsoever. a few hours later, going to the bathroom again, the brown gooey stuff finally reached my pad, but there's still no typical red stuff. what is this brown stuff, and does this lead to me having my period.(ps, before experiencing this for the first time, i did have sex twice. and i was getting scared not getting my period, cause i usually get it on the 26th of every month. i didnt get it at all on february, and it's march 1st today and i got this brown gooey stuff)so ya, what is this brown stuff, and does this lead to having my period? and does having sex affect this kinda thing?

 If it's anything that is out of the normal for you, you should get checked out.
Ok you didn't say originally that you used protection and on this site we have to assume that you did not, as most people on here don't. If you used condoms properly and it didn't split, I'd say you have your period and everything is fine, if you are on the pill, well that does some strange things and I'll be willing to say it's normalish. If you used any other method I'd advise getting checked out.
If you get any pain or bleeding after this period go to your doctor straight away but at the moment it sounds like your normal period.

well my period today (march 2nd) was red, like it was getting heavy :( like early morning today, it was dark red, but thats what i usually get everytime i get my period. and then this aftertoon, it was your typically bright red. so does that mean i'm okay? and everything is normal again??
asking ARMYMEDIC esepcially, cause that whole "ectopic preganancy" is kinda throwing me off.

I think I'm on a role with this subject today... Another sign of Ectopic pregnancy is dark brown blood that can appear like a period.
Ectopic pregnancy is when the foetus starts growing outside the womb (normally a fallopian tube) and can cause a lot of internal damage to you and even death.
