You are exactly correct. Early pregnancy, lots of unfamilliar new hormones whizzing around in you, your breasts more tender. Maybe some morning sickness, which usually passes.
And more sensitive some days, more tired on other days. This is why pregnant women need to be very kind to themselves. And those around them usually have the empathy to realise the pregnant new mother needs a hand or too. Trouble is that some New Dads are not up to speed, at first.
And some New Dads are overwhelmed at the new responsibility. Most eventually get up to speed, with what is required.
Do not be afraid to ask for support, a
hug, or any other help you need.
And all the help you can get now is good training, for the first month after the birth, when real tiredness will hit you in that first month, unless willing hands are there to give you the support you need. But one smile from your new baby will make you heart glow with love.
