writes: My daughter went on holiday she hated it and came home early when I asked her why she said "everyone" was sleeping qround getting boozed out off their head and the other girls were laughing at her because she didnt want to sleep with anyone (she didnt meet anyone she fancied) some of the women slept with several men over a few days and the next day they didnt even speak to her which didnt bother them-they just went and found other men.I know times have changed-she said she would have slept with just someone to stop tongues wagging but she would not have liked the man probably not speaking to/ignoring her the next day.Is this common now I cant believe its as easy as that?Is that classed as a holday romance now?

reader, anonymous, writes (31 July 2011): No, this is not classed as a holiday romance, and although it's not 'normal' for people to act like this now, neither is it abnormal. I'm glad your daughter didn't bend to their will. It's just a shame she admitted she would have. Not every young girl acts this way.
