The longer sex is, especially if she builds me up several times before cumming, it is more even in consistency, whitish and voluminous. A quickie after 3 or more days will be like off-white glue or hand lotion and maybe just a few spurts, but thick. A long session after 3 days will result in thick, white semen the consistency of, mmm, ranch dressing (sorry, couldnt think of anything else) and up to 6 or 7 spurts.
So to answer your question...off whitish, or even toward yellowish is normal. Seminal fluid (from the prostrate and other glands) is more what makes it white. If the sperm in the semen is more prevalent, it will be off white.

I've seen a lot of colors and textures over the years and while thickness is to be expected in a man who hasn't cum for a while (recently there was one whose load was the consistency of glue!), if the color is significantly yellow and consistently so it would normally indicate something not being quite right. Can you check with him whether the color of his urine is normal? It may also happen if he is on strong anti-biotics.

I've never experienced thick and yellow with any man I've been with. I would have him get it checked out.

According to a website that I'm privvy to, Semen is cloudy white, and sperm is yellow/beige in colour and jelly like. So sometimes large quantities of sperm if ejacualation hasn't taken place in a long while can appear yellowish
However this said, There are other reason, Infection, bleeding from his urethea, STI's or possible prostate troubles.
Get him to go see a dr, explain your concerns to him, It may seem embarrassing to do so, but I'm sure he'd rather be safe than sorry too.

It can get that way if he hasn't ejaculated for a long while. Unusual, but not unheard of.
