Is there really any nice girls out there???

Question - (13 November 2008) 4 Answers - (Newest, 15 November 2008)
A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I finally got over my ex girlfriend of 3 years and I started meeting up with a friend who I've known for years, she has always been there for me and she admitted she had always liked me more than a friend and asked at a chance of making me happy, she makes me feel really happy and I enjoy every second with her! She kept saying to me I hope I'm not a rebounder for you as I really want me and you to work.

Two weeks later she has left me and is now back with her ex boyfriend, I feel so silly for believing what she said, is there really any nice girls out there??.. I've never cheated or hurt a girl before and I'm afraid I will never be happy. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do, or advice from past experiences?

Thanks In Advance

Well, I think that she told you as fast as she could, she probably had feelings for you as well, but could not get over her past. I am sorry you had to go through that, but as we say that which does not kill you, only makes you stronger.

That's tough and you will get over it. She obviously wasn't for you. I have a daughter desperate to get back with her best friend/bf. But she has hurt him so badly not sure he will allow it to happen again but I do think she has changed this time and is ready to start again. I hope so.

This is 2 women out of about 3.1 billion so don't tar us with the same brush! Maybe she thought she loved you but changed her mind, maybe you were a rebound but she's the one who looks silly because it's clear that she was mean to you. Just go out and meet new girls. You'll find someone who's right for you - it's just a case of trial and error.
