Because me and my best friend do this and it is only fore a cuddle and to sleep nothing happens. I have never had a gf and she has never had a bf. Although i have loved her for years probably since we were 15 shes never known. Its just some of my friends keep saying you can't do that without there being something going on, i just don't get it. Like when i leave or when she leaves to go home although she lvies 5minute walk away we just give each other a kiss but nothing out there just a normal kiss. We're close so what maybe we're abit too close for friends but surely its not that wrong is it? Just to want to spend one night cuddled up to your best friend in the whole wide world? i have no intentions of telling her how i feel at the moment but that really has nothing to do with the question. But why do they think this? Is it so uncommon for this to be happening?

You said yourself that you have loved this girl for years but have never told her. Do you think that is what people call friendship? She is a friend to you, but, you don't see her as a friend. You are simply afraid of taking things further, because you wouldn't want to lose her.
You say that you just want to cuddle with her and that's it. Are you sure you wouldn't like to have sex with her?
Would you believe a guy and a girl if they told you they slept together and no sex happened between the two? Maybe. But, many people wouldn't, and that wouldn't be because they were stubborn narrowminded persons, but because of experience.
Are you sure your friend doesn't know what you feel for her? I have never come across a female friend who would cuddle with me for the night, you know. This, they leave it to their boyfriends.

Hi to you,
It is so nice to hear that you as friends cuddle in bed for one night a week!
If only others could do the same, there would be less pregnancies?
As far as being uncommon I am afraid I can not answer that. Some would say yes, but how many other people do what you and your friend does?
That side of it I wouldn't let that bother you at all. As for your friends saying you must be doing something else too!
Thats' their ignorance. Just because they couldn't do it!
I beleive you dear. Why do you think?
A long time ago I had a very close friend, we did everything together, we went away at wkends and sleep in the same bed. Like you nothing ever happened.
It was like we both belonged there, together, just cuddling and keeping each other safe. We both loved each so much but it was more like a brother/sister love.
However, one wkend whilst in our B&B something changed!
We both started to make love to each other!
That was the worst thing we could have ever done!
After that we drifted apart slowly which was sad. We were not meant to be lovers...Simple as that...
But..That does not mean that you two should be like that!!!
This could be the start of a fantastic relationship for you both...
You say that you do not intend to tell her how you feel?
She might be thinking the same thing?
I think what you both have is very special and don't let anyone take that from you...Treasure that for the rest of your lifes....
God Bless
