Um, so she decided to put me on the pill which I haven't started cause Im scared of the nausea. I know it seems like a stupid excuse but i went thru a whole year of sick to my stomach every day and it was hell because of a stomach disorder i had. Now i just don't want to re live it. I wanna know if they're anything else I can do for the whole PCOS thing other than birth control.

It took three months and she will need to be careful with her diet from now on, but the difference was phenomenal!
Good luck!

Exercise can help with PCOS because it makes you more sensitive to insulin (PCOS is can be caused by too much insulin causing an increase in testosterone production). Also, reducing your consumption of sugar and sugary foods could help. Diet is something you should talk to your doctor about though, she will be able to suggest the kind of diet you need.
Don't worry too much about the nausea. As you get used to the pill, it should go away. If it doesn't go away, you can always just stop taking the pills and it will stop. If you refuse treatment, you're putting your health at risk. Listen to your doctor, she didn't go through a decade of training in medicine by accident.

Hi,
I had PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome when I was about your age or a little older. I got put on the pill too...has your doctor only recommended one pill....I got ill on 2 of the pills he recommended and and by trial and error unfortunately, I got to have one that was not too bad for me.
If I were you, I would take your medical reports and get a second opinion. Tell the new doctor that you want everything explained properly and that would like to feel open and comfortable asking questions etc. Try a lady gynae...if anything she has a va j j so can have a better idea of what you are explaining etc.
Worst case scenario....you are looking at surgery if it is really bad.
But get a second opinion if you are not too comfy with Doctor Number 1. No harm in that
Hope you feel better
Ana
