When I'm around him at the weekends we get on really well and i feel some sort of connection between us, but when we are at school he doesn't seem to pay attention to me at all! So what should I do? I would like something to happen between us but I'm just not sure if he feels the same or not, is there any other way of finding out if he likes me than just asking him?

Well there are long and involved patterns of speech that might take you until you're 30 to find out if he likes you or not. Best and quickest bet is to ask him. If he says he doesn't feel the same the worst thing will be a few seconds of embarassment and then you move on. It'll all work out better that way. Honesty is the best policy.
