A male United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have been married for 3 years and have two young children, I have seen an old friend recently that I have had feelings for, for a very long time, I had forgotten all about these feelings until she came back into my life. I have never talked to this girl about my feelings as I am shy.

Before I saw this girl I was already asking myself if I really loved my wife or if I was just with her for the sake of our children.

I am not sure if it is possible to be in love with 2 women at the same time and for this reason I feel like I am being untrue to my wife.

I am not sure if the love was there from the start as we was still in our honeymoon period when we had our first child.

KickRox agony auntHonestly, I feel that it is possible to be in love with two people at the same time, but in a different way. You may like one thing about one person and another thing from the other.

I say that you sit down and really think about what you feel for your wife. Is the love still there like when you first met and you had no children?

Keep me posted.

A female reader, agneeman South Africa +, writes (12 November 2008):

agneeman agony auntIf the feeling translates into action then you'll be being untrue to your wife and your kids.

I believe that it is possible to have feelings for two people (heck 10 people) and the same time. To love them all equally. But with love comes Respect.

You have to ask yourself.. what would a man of Integrity do in a situation like this? What would a real man do when faced with temptation like this?

If manliness stands for self control - would a real man hurt his children, wreck the family he is there to protect?

Would a man of with backbone turn on the vows he made infont of God and his family and friends - in front of her family and friends - just because of a mushy feeling?

The fact that your concious is speaking to you about this tells me that you're a man of integrity.

So you tell me - what would a man of calibre and character do in your shoes.
