Is there a double meaning to this conversation? Should I be worried?

Question - (14 December 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 14 December 2010)
A male South Africa age 26-29, *mr conflicted1 writes:

Hi, is my new girlfriend a masochist, or is it just sexy talk? The other day we wer talking on social networking and she said that she likes to "play", so i said that could mean a lot of things, so she said”i like to play with fire” so i said, when you play with fire do you ever get burned? And she said ”duh, thats the fun part” so i got a little worried the reason why i think this may be sexy talk because it was all said in a flirty manner, and after a whole night of happy conversation, so is there a reason to be concerned, or is this a kind of double meaning sort of conversation? Thanks for any advice:)

A male reader, Illithid United States +, writes (14 December 2010):

Illithid agony auntI'm not sure if you're familiar with the expression, so please pardon if I'm explaining something you already know, but "playing with fire" is a saying that just means taking risks, living dangerously. It doesn't usually mean actually playing with literal fire. Likewise, "getting burned" just means doing something dangerous and getting hurt (physically, mentally, emotionally, or just minor embarrassment). It sounds to me like she just means that she doesn't like to be too cautious, preferring to take chances.
