Yes. There is a cure. Cut it a little... Just get it trimmed. There are very good shamppos that will help prevent it from getting so damaged again in the future and there are also hot oil treatments that can really help repair your hair.

If you do not cut it now then the splits continue on up your hair until it reache the roots. The longer you leave it Hunny. The worse it will get.

Sorry. I know you love your hair.

You will have to cut it (I'm a hair dresser) but in the mean time, use BioSilk, and it will help to restore some mosture...You can't fix dead ends...but it will make them look moocho better.

You HAVE to cut it. There is no other way to get rid of split ends. I use a straightener too and my hair got so dry and ugly. I just cut it, Katie holmes style and it looks gorgeous and it so healthy, I love it. You don't have to cut it that short but you do have to cut those split ends out to keep it looking good and healthy. And also when you go to the salon, make sure to ask for a deep conditioning treatement.

What would you rather have long, dull hair that looks like a big haystack? Or shorter hair that's shiny and vibrant?

DrPsych agony auntHair conditioner may work as a short term measure but your best bet is to get them all cut out as the new hair will grow stronger. You could have hair extensions fitted while you wait for your new hair to come through...

youre going to have to cut it for it to be healthy again. 2 inches should be ok but after that go get special conditioner that is for people who use a lot of heat on their hair. Good luck!
