Is the LDR ruined or do I just need to give her a couple of days?

A male Hungary age 51-59, *ambino2008 writes:

Hi! I have been dating a women at long distance. She lives in Russia and I live in Hungary. I am 40, she is 28. I have a kid, 6 years old and she has an 8 year old. We have met three times (3 days each time). Recently, we agreed that we would meet again in March but now she says that since her mum is going away for two weeks, we can't meet because she needs to be with her son. I told her no problem, I'll come to see her.

Anyway, I got a bit needy because I thought this was a lie to let me down slowly. I tried calling her and she wouldn't pick up. On Facebook, we chatted and she told me by text message that she had a bad stomach ache (time of the month) and that's why she didn't answer.

Finally, we spoke the following day and she told me that we "need to take things naturally and not rush". I asked her if there are any problems and she said "sweetie, everything is ok". She hasn't removed our relationship status on Facebook.

I don't know what to believe - is this her way of telling me its over? The bottom line is as follows: should I contact her now? or should I leave her alone for a few days?

Thanks!

i dont think its a good sign, not pick up the phone, in my knowledge, if someone doesnt try to contact u, doesnt try to meet u, means this person doesnt care, especially in long distance relationship, its difficult.

janniepeg agony auntI don't think she is lying. Go ahead call her and say you miss her. Menstruation only hurts the first two days. I feel normal and happy again on the third day. It's the full moon isn't it? What a coincidence! She seems to have no problems with the slow pace and the distance. It gives her a lot of freedom and space to do whatever she wants. It's you who have to decide if a long distance relationship is good for you. I know for me it won't work.
