He lives near me but works in another state about six months out of the year. I usuall fly to see him every couple of weeks. I just came home yesterday from staying with him 5 days. We had a very pleasant time, no arguments. We both agreed that we enjoyed ourselves, now I do not know what to do. I text him saying good morning today and he replied back. I text him one more time tonight and he replied back. I do not want to overwhelm him and I truly want things to work this time. Do I give him space and have him come to me or what?? 5 days is a while to spend with someone and I don't know if I should back off. What do you guys think?

You don't need to back off completely, but he needs to put effort in too. Don't text him in the morning, let him text you. If you get in the habit of initiating contact first all the time, it's always going to be that way and you'll get frustrated. Let him come to you and prove that he wants it to work as much as you do.
